OK…OK, I admit that nothing terminal is going to happen to your computer (or you!) if you don’t upgrade to Windows 10 but one thing’s for sure, if you don’t accept the free upgrade before 29 July 2016, you will have to pay Microsoft at least $US109 for the privilege when you finally realise the world’s leaving you behind!
Of course, if you’re planning on replacing your old clunker laptop/desktop in the very near future (ie this year!), upgrading to Win 10 is a bit of waste of time but for everyone else….
T I M E I S R U N N I N G O U T ! ! !
I came across an excellent summary of facts (with a little positive spin thrown in for good measure) on the internet recently and I want to share it with you.
Here are my Top 10 reasons why you should upgrade to Windows 10 right now… Continue reading
Confession: I’m a Windows 10 fan! I’ve been using it since September 2015 and I have absolutely no complaints about it. It’s easy to use, easy to navigate, packed with features and 100% better than Windows 8….and it was free! I even like MS Edge, the new browser – how sad is that!! Of course there are a few things which could be improved in Windows 10 but that’s nothing unusual for Microsoft software and certainly not cause to criticise what appears to be the most robustly created Windows Operating System ever. Heck, it even runs well on older ex-Windows 7 machines with 2Gb memory.
What really concerns me though is that the July 29th free upgrade deadline is fast approaching and there are still a lot of members out there who haven’t upgraded for whatever reason. Continue reading
Windows 10 is nearly one year old come July and we expect an update to come out to all of you who have switched to 10 in the past nine months. The Update will be free for users [non-business] including those using W7 and 8, but not after July when you need to pay for an upgrade.
What can we expect to see in the birthday edition?

Windows 10 Upgrade
Have you upgraded to Windows 10 yet or are you still a little nervous about the process – why not come and discuss it with the experts on the Open Days. We’ve upgraded all the computers in The Learning Centre to Windows 10 without incident so we can now offer our members Windows 7, 8.1 and 10 to use during our courses. We are holding Windows 10 Introduction Courses this term so you can see the Upgrade Process for yourself as well as get some hand’s-on practice with Windows 10 on our Learning Centre PCs. We are also in the process of upgrading all our courses to run on Windows 10.
We are always on the lookout for more tutors so why not contact Kuini at firstname.lastname@example.org here or come along to one of the open days and discuss with other tutors who will be there.
