Thinking of buying a new tablet computer?

laptop-mobile-phone-tablet-pc-and-gps-3dBut not sure which one to choose with so many models and prices on offer?

Well, let me say at the outset that we do not recommend one brand versus another, what we can do is to give you a little list of items to check out in order to make your choice that much easier.

1. First things first, do you know what you want it for? What are you planning to use it for? Once you have handed over the hard earned dosh you don’t want to to be thinking ‘Oops’, can’t do this, can’t do that, too slow, insufficient storage etc.

What will the next iteration of Windows become?

Ah, you say, why on earth start talking about the next version of Windows, we are still using Windows XP?Windows XP Penguin

Really, but XP was launched about 12 years ago and is destined for the scrapheap in short order, and since then we have had Vista, Windows 7 and now Windows 8 plus Windows RT and Windows Pro, the last two for the newer devices like smartphones and tablets.

Ring-a Ding Ding

Apple Campus

Some say it is a UFO, others that it is a ring, albeit a mighty big one. But what it really is, is Apple’s latest headquater design for their Cupertino Campus. It is certainly striking, take a look here:

They plan to build on their 40 ha site with lots of landscaping as well and you might notice that there is no sign of carparking for the 12000 employees expected to work here. That is because multistoried carparking is provided underground, maybe Apple is taking their aestethical computer designs to the environment as well.

From the start in the 1970s when 2 chaps began building computers to 12000 now working in what this year became the World’s most valuable company is quite a story.
